I loved the first Tombraider but not the rest so much although Anniversary and legend weren't bad but i am looking froward to this one.
I liked Uncharted but its more shooty than Tombraider which has been more about exploration, Uncharted didn't really allow for much exploring though i liked it a great deal.
Lara is more versitile than Nate allowing for more diversity in going from A to B and there are more puzzles in Tombraider whereas Uncharted is more about fighting off the ...
I have both and my 360 is faster on demos and videos but my ps3 is faster on whole games...weird.
Theres things to take into account though... for instance..
A 1 gig demo from Take2 or Dice might take 20mins to download while i remember the Dirt demo from codemasters taking bloody ages because they didn't account for so many hits on it. So its all varible and this is on both systems.
The last farcry on xbox had exactly the same editor or has everyone forgotten about that?
Looks good and its nice to see both formats looking equally good.
Don't forget Nintendo makes a profit on all hardware as well as software. The ps2 was running at a loss hardware wise for a couple of years with Sony loosing money on everyone sold, add to this the cost of developers brought and launching the console ( a console launch is way over 100million)and it might be right that they didn't make as much as we think. Saying that the follwing five years the cash would be rolling in.
Whatever they did or didn't make though they are taking a big risk...
I just hope that if its as good as we hope it gets the sales it deserves. This company have made some great games but none have really had huge sales... the general gaming public are blinded by there wii's.
Ive been through 3 xbox's and 2 Ps3's... im unlucky i guess.
Its another bug hunt.
July is Sonys win, August will be Microsofts. Back and forth who really cares.
Love tombraider... lara looks like my girlfrend... except lara lets me play with her more.
Id rather pay for a decent meal than eat for free from a trashcan.
Now if only they can upgrade the physics it might become a great game.
2012... yeah like the song says 'we got five years, what a surprise'..Bowie.
I know loads of people who were gutted when this went Ps3 exclusive after seeing the vid with the woman in the kitchen on 360 a couple of years back. This is one game that will make them buy a ps3 belive me.
I love racing games and was really looking forward to grid but graphics aside its awful. Played in for an hour or so trying to like it but to no avail. Took it out of the tray and put Forza2 back on.
I will stop paying it when Sony offers the same for free but that looks like years away. Hell i don't like paying it but its hardly breaking the bank. I'd rather pay it then it be downgraded to psn standard.
Chances are when Sony gets its online act together it will charge to.
Don't want to rock the boat or anyhting but i was watching the 360 footage of this on live and it seems to look a bit cleaner with better lighting... could just be the vid though.
Its just easier and cheaper to port from ps3 to 360 rather than the other way round. It has nothing to do with the power of the cell chip.
Just means that both consoles will get identical versions of the game rather than the rubbish ports were used to.
This is sad news. My heart goes out to her friends and family, a terrible tragedy and a loss to the industry.
Resi will sell well no doubt about it but i for one wish they had updated the controls. The graphics look great but some of the gamplay looks very old school and the whole umbrella thing is very tired. Im in two minds at the moment on it.
Personnaly i like the first one the best as it was slower and more atmospheric, the later ones turned into a shooting fest and this looks like it might be heading the same way. Im hoping it will be good though but at present I'm more looking forward ...
